SOSIALISASI PERAN SERTA MASYARAKAT DALAM PEMILIHAN KEPALA DAERAH SERENTAK (PILKADA) 2024

Abstrak

The Community Service Activity (PKM) with the theme "Socialization of Community Participation in the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Election (Pilkada)" was carried out as an effort to increase public understanding of the importance of active involvement in the democratic process. The 2024 simultaneous regional elections are a strategic momentum in determining the direction of regional leadership that has a direct impact on the quality of public services, development, and community welfare. This socialization aims to provide education on the legal basis for holding the Regional Elections, the stages of implementation, and the role of the community in maintaining the quality of democracy by avoiding the practice of money politics, hate speech, and divisive issues. The implementation method includes counseling, interactive discussions, and question and answer sessions. The results of the activity showed an increase in public knowledge about election regulations, election procedures, and the growth of awareness to use the right to vote wisely and responsibly. This activity is expected to be able to encourage active public participation in the success of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections and maintain the creation of democratic, transparent, and integrity elections.
