Abstrak
The activity “Socialization of Environmental Law Enforcement Regulations on Criminal Acts Related to Protected Plants and Wildlife” aimed to raise public legal awareness of biodiversity conservation. The program involved law enforcers, academics, and environmental practitioners who delivered materials on legal foundations, violations, licensing mechanisms, and criminal sanctions. Findings revealed low legal literacy, widespread illegal hunting and wildlife keeping, and socioeconomic factors driving violations. These conditions cause ecosystem damage, species extinction threats, and human–wildlife conflicts. Through discussions, case simulations, and legal consultations, the program encouraged communities to become active legal subjects in conservation while strengthening collaboration between society, government, and academia. This initiative highlights legal education as a preventive step to support law enforcement and safeguard protected plants and wildlife.
