SOSIALISASI PERAN PENTING LINGKUNGAN KELUARGA DALAM PEMBENTUKAN KARAKTER DAN KEPRIBADIAN ANAK

Abstract

The community service program entitled “The Crucial Role of Family Environment in Shaping Children’s Character and Personality” aimed to raise parents’ awareness of the importance of character-based parenting. The family is the primary environment that influences children’s growth, covering moral, emotional, and social aspects. The main issues identified among participants include low parenting literacy, lack of quality time between parents and children, and inappropriate parenting styles that hinder healthy development. These conditions lead to poor family communication, weak discipline, and behavioral problems in children. The interactive and participatory approach of the program successfully improved parents’ understanding of their strategic role, while fostering collaboration between universities and communities to strengthen character education within the family setting.
