Publication Ethics

Jurnal Komunitas Bahasa is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and to maintaining the integrity of the academic record. These ethical guidelines apply to all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, peer reviewers, and the publisher.

Authors are expected to submit original and authentic work that has not been previously published or under consideration elsewhere. The manuscript must be free from plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or any form of research misconduct. Authors must ensure proper citation of all sources using the APA 6th edition citation style. Any form of conflict of interest, whether financial or non-financial, must be disclosed. Authors must also acknowledge all sources of research funding or institutional support. In the case of co-authorship, all listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research and approved the final version of the manuscript.

Editors are responsible for making fair, objective, and timely decisions based solely on the academic merit of the manuscript, without regard to the authors’ race, gender, religion, ethnicity, or institutional affiliation. Editors must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and must not disclose any information to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and editorial staff. Editors are responsible for ensuring that the peer review process is conducted fairly and ethically. In the event of suspected ethical violations, editors must take appropriate corrective actions, which may include retraction or correction of published articles.

Reviewers play a critical role in the editorial process. They must evaluate manuscripts objectively and provide constructive feedback to assist the authors in improving their work. Reviewers are required to maintain the confidentiality of the review process and must not use any part of the manuscript for personal advantage. Reviewers must declare any potential conflicts of interest and decline to review manuscripts when such conflicts exist. They are also encouraged to identify relevant literature that may have been overlooked by the authors.

The publisher of Jurnal Komunitas Bahasa is committed to ensuring that all published content adheres to ethical and scholarly standards. The publisher works closely with the editorial team to prevent and address publication misconduct, and supports transparency, accountability, and ethical oversight throughout the publication process. If ethical misconduct is proven, the publisher reserves the right to retract the article and apply necessary corrective actions.
