Peer Review Process

Jurnal Komunitas Bahasa employs a double-blind peer review process, in which both the identities of the reviewers and the authors are concealed throughout the review process to ensure an objective and unbiased evaluation.

All manuscripts submitted to this journal are subject to initial editorial screening to assess their suitability in terms of focus, scope, academic quality, and adherence to submission guidelines. Manuscripts that pass this initial screening will be forwarded to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. These reviewers may be members of the Editorial Board or qualified external reviewers. The review process evaluates the manuscript based on its originality, scholarly contribution, methodological rigor, relevance, and clarity of presentation.

To maintain the quality and integrity of the publication, reviewers are required to provide constructive and critical feedback that will help authors improve their work. The entire review process typically takes up to 8 weeks, although efforts are made to provide timely responses to authors. In cases where submissions do not meet the basic requirements of the journal, the editorial team may decide to desk-reject the manuscript without external review.

Decisions on manuscript acceptance, revision, or rejection are based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the final assessment of the Editorial Team. All decisions are final and made solely at the discretion of the Editors. Communication regarding the review results and revision requests will be sent to authors exclusively via email.

Authors are expected to submit original works and avoid any form of academic misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, or inappropriate citation practices. The journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics.
