Focus and Scope
Jurnal Komunitas Bahasa is a peer-reviewed academic journal that focuses on the publication of research articles, theoretical studies, and critical reflections in the fields of language, literature, and cultural studies. This journal aims to serve as a scholarly platform for researchers, lecturers, practitioners, and students to contribute to the development and dissemination of scientific knowledge through multidisciplinary and contextual approaches. The journal emphasizes both theoretical and empirical perspectives in analyzing linguistic phenomena, literary texts, and cultural practices across diverse communities.
The scope of Jurnal Komunitas Bahasa includes a wide range of topics in the field of linguistics, such as phonetics and phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, sociolinguistics, pragmatics, psycholinguistics, applied linguistics, discourse analysis, language acquisition, and language documentation and revitalization. In the area of literature, the journal covers literary theory and criticism, comparative literature, modern and contemporary literature, traditional and oral literature, genre studies, and literary translation and translation studies. For cultural studies, the journal welcomes submissions on cultural theory, ethnography, cultural heritage, media and communication studies, popular culture, identity and representation, and issues related to globalization and cultural hybridity.
Additionally, the journal accommodates research in language and literature education, including teaching and learning strategies, curriculum development, language policy and planning, assessment and evaluation, bilingual and multilingual education, and cultural literacy. Interdisciplinary research is highly encouraged, especially those exploring the intersections between language, literature, and culture; digital humanities; intercultural communication; language and information technology; and critical approaches such as postcolonialism and ecocriticism.
Jurnal Komunitas Bahasa encourages innovative contributions based on rigorous methodologies and relevant theoretical frameworks. The journal is committed to promoting the exchange of ideas, expanding academic discourse, and bridging the gap between theory and practice in language, literature, and cultural studies. Articles may be written in either Indonesian or English.
