PROBLEM BASED LEARNING BERBANTUAN APLIKASI POWTOON TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out whether there is a significant influence of the Problem Based Learning model based on the Powtoon application on students' mathematical communication skills in statistics material At VIIth Class of MTs Daarul Falah Sei Kamah 2 in 2023/2024 Academic Year. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a two group Pretest-Posttest research design. The population in this study are all MTs Daarul Falah Sei Kamah 2 students in 2023/2024 Academic Year. The sample in this research are VIIth- Class Al as an experimental class using the Problem Based Learning model assisted by the Powtoon Application and VIIth-B Class as a control class using an Expository learning model. Before the learning was given, a pretest was obtained with an average result for the experimental class of 19.55 and a control class of 25.41, while after the learning was completed, a posttest was obtained with an average result for the experimental class of 80.82 and the control class of 77.70. The results of the t test obtained t_count = 6.399 > t_tabel = 2.012, thus H_α was accepted, thus it was found that there was a significant influence from the Problem Based Learning model on the Powtoon application on the students' mathematical communication skills in statistics material at VIIth Class of MTs Daarul Falah Sei Kamah 2 in 2023 /2024 Academic Year.
