Abstract


ABSTRACT

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the omnibus law implementation that should exist in the statutory law system in Indonesia and the application of the Omnibus law in the investment sector in resolving licensing regulatory issues. This research method is juridical normative, which examines the basic rules and legislation regarding the problems faced in the application of the omnibus law as an answer to problems that occur in Indonesia. Omnibus Law can simply be interpreted as a legal method that can change several laws at once. There are three conditions for implementing the omnibus law, namely the law that will be changed directly related, the law that will be changed is not directly related, and the law which will be changed is not related but in intersecting practice. The target to be achieved is to create a friendly and adequate investment climate to support the demographic bonus that Indonesia is experiencing. Regulations are directed at ease of doing business and simplification of regulations in the investment sector, overlapping laws and regulations. Implementing regulations need to be prepared immediately. The Draft Law on Investment was accelerated due to increasingly competitive global economic competition in capturing and creating a friendly, effective and efficient investment climate.
