Abstract


ABSTRACT

 

Violence against women is a part of social reality and is not a new case even though the place and time are different, but in principle it is considered the same. This equation can be seen from many phenomena in society which illustrate that it is increasing and this also affects the mistreatment of women. In the criminal law (KUHP) there are several arguments that are directly related to and can be considered as acts of physical violence against women, namely articles 351 to 356 of the criminal law. Apart from the KUHP (KUHP) which provides legal protection for female victims from physical violence, this is also regulated in Article 6, Article 16 regarding protection, and Article 44 recognizes criminal sanctions in the Law on the Elimination of Domestic Violence or the Law on Domestic Violence. stairs.
