The method of the study with a cross sectional approach. The instrument of the research using a questionnaire. The sample was 96 people with type 2 diabetes in the working area of Gunung Sitember Health Center, with consecutive sampling. The Data of analysis used logistic regression at the level of confidence α = 0.05. The results of the study indicate that there is a relationship between knowledge level (p = 0.007; p <0.05), meal schedule (p = 0.007; p <0.05), type of food (p = 0.001; p <0.05), smoking habits (p = 0.030; p <0.05) and there was no significant relationship between physical activity (p = 0.069; p> 0.05) with the incidence of hyperglycemia. It is hoped that health workers can provide education to the community about the DM diet for diabetes mellitus sufferers and apply proper physical activity.
