MANFAAT INFORMASI DAN TRANSAKSI ELEKTRONIK (ITE) SERTA AKIBAT HUKUM YANG TERKANDUNG DIDALAMNYA

Abstract

Teen age is the most active age in using the internet, especially social media. Usually they use social media to request information and as entertainment media. But sometimes without realizing it, students who are still teenagers are vulnerable to being ensnared by Law No. 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law No. 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE). Student students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Batubara in Kec. Lima Puluh, Kab. Batubara needs to get an understanding through legal counseling about the benefits of technology and electronic transactions (ITE) and the legal consequences contained in it so that it is not easily entangled in acts that can harm themselves or others.

            Legal counseling is done face-to-face and question and answer so as to be able to provide understanding to students, especially class XII (twelve) about the legal basis, positive and negative impacts as well as legal sanctions for perpetrators of misuse of information and electronic transactions. Students of the counseling participants are also given tips so as not to become perpetrators or victims of misuse of information and electronic transactions. Thus it is hoped that legal awareness will arise for students to be wise in using information and electronic transactions, especially social media.
