KONDISI KUALITAS AIR PADA BUDIDAYA UDANG DI TAMBAK WILAYAH PESISIR KECAMATAN MEDANG DERAS KABUPATEN BATUBARA

Abstract

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di tambak wilayah pesisir Kecamatan Medang Deras Kabupaten Batubara pada tanggal 22 Juli 2023. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kelayakan dan kesuburan air tambak di wilayah pesisir selama pemeliharaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dan survey lapangan, pengambilan contoh air dilakukan sekali mulai dari awal pemeliharaan sampai menjelang panen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan kualitas air selama pemeliharaan masih dalam batas kelayakan, namun suhu dan ammonia pada waktu tertentu sudah dalam taraf mengganggu pertumbuhan udang. Tingkat kesuburan air berdasarkan kesediaan unsur hara Nitrat (1,03-2,98 ppm) dan Fosfat (0,03-0,08 ppm) tergolong cukup.

ABSTRACT

This research was conducted in ponds in the coastal area of Medang Deras District, Batubara Regency on July 22, 2023. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility and fertility of pond water in coastal areas during maintenance. The research method used is descriptive method and field survey, water sampling is done once starting from the beginning of maintenance until just before harvest. The results showed that the development of water quality during rearing was still within the feasibility limits, but the temperature and ammonia at a certain time were already at the level of interfering with the growth of shrimp. The level of vulnerability of water based on the readiness of nutrients Nitrate (1.03-2.98 ppm) and Phosphate (0.03-0.08 ppm) is quite adequate.
