PENYULUHAN HUKUM PENTINGNYA PELAYANAN BANTUAN HUKUM DALAM MEWUJUDKAN KESAMAAN KEDUDUKAN DI HADAPAN HUKUM BAGI MASYARAKAT TIDAK MAMPU DI DESA SEI NADORAS KECAMATAN BANDAR PASIR MANDOGE TAHUN 2024

Abstract

Legal counseling on the importance of legal aid services has a strategic role in realizing equality before the law for the underprivileged. Legal aid is not only a right, but also a guarantee of legal protection as stipulated in Law Number 16 of 2011 concerning Legal Aid. Through counseling, the public is given an understanding of the right to obtain free legal assistance, both in the investigation, prosecution, and trial stages, so that inequality in access to justice can be minimized. This activity also emphasized the role of legal aid institutions (LBH) and accredited advocates in providing legal services, as well as providing an explanation of the procedures and requirements for submitting legal aid applications. The counseling, which was carried out in Sei Nadoras Village, Bandar Pasir Mandoge District, in 2024 aims to increase the community's legal understanding and awareness, including the right to legal assistance, defense, and fair treatment in court. In addition, this activity serves as a preventive effort to suppress the potential for law violations among the underprivileged. Overall, this legal counseling plays an important role in realizing the principles of social justice, equality before the law, and the protection of people's rights, so that people become more aware of the law, able to fight for their rights, and not marginalized in the legal process.
