PENINGKATAN PEMAHAMAN HUKUM TENTANG PENYELESAIAN SENGKETA LINGKUNGAN HIDUP MELALUI JALUR LUAR PENGADILAN PADA MASYARAKAT DESA TOMUAN HOLBUNG KECAMATAN BANDAR PASIR MANDOGE

Abstract

The legal counseling program in Tomuan Holbung Village, Bandar Pasir Mandoge Subdistrict, was carried out as part of the university’s Tri Dharma commitment to enhance community understanding of non-litigation environmental dispute resolution. Field observations revealed key issues, including limited legal awareness, absence of local conflict resolution forums, restricted access to information, and lack of active roles from village officials and community leaders. Through lectures, case studies, and mediation simulations, the program succeeded in raising legal awareness, encouraging multi-stakeholder participation, and opening opportunities for community-based mechanisms in resolving environmental conflicts.
