PENGEMBANGAN WISATA KONSERVASI ANGGREK DI AEK NAULI

Abstract

ABSTRAK  

Kawasan Aek Nauli merupakan salah satu kawasan yang menjadi tujuan wisata di Kota Pematangsiantar yaitu wisata edukasi. Untuk menunjang wisata edukasi tersebut, Fuel Terminal Pematang Siantar bekerja sama dengan Balai Besar KSDA Sumatera Utara mengembangkan potensi yang ada di kawasan hutan Aek Nauli. Diantaranya yaitu konservasi anggrek di Aek Nauli. Selain menarik wisatawan, tujuan kegiatan ini adalah sebagai edukasi kepada masyarakat tentang jenis-jenis anggrek yang terdapat di kawasan hutan Aek Nauli. Diharapkan dengan adanya kegiatan konservasi anggrek bisa menjadi salah satu cara untuk pelestarian anggrek di kawasan ini. Wisata edukasi yang ditawarkan pada program ini adalah melalui pembuatan demplot anggrek dan barcode untuk mempermudah wisatawan mendapatkan informasi tentang jenis-jenis anggrek di area konservasi ini.

ABSTRACT

The Aek Nauli area is one of the areas that is a tourist destination in Pematangsiantar City, namely educational tourism. To support this educational tourism, the Pematang Siantar Fuel Terminal in collaboration with the North Sumatra KSDA Center is developing the potential in the Aek Nauli forest area. Among them is orchid conservation in Aek Nauli. In addition to attracting tourists, the purpose of this activity is to educate the public about the types of orchids found in the Aek Nauli forest area. It is hoped that the orchid conservation activity can be one way to preserve orchids in this area. The educational tourism offered in this program is through the creation of orchid demonstration plots and barcodes to make it easier for tourists to get information about the types of orchids in this conservation area.
