PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN MIND MAPPING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENULIS TEKS EKSPOSISI MELALUI MEDIA AUDIO VISUAL PADA SISWA KELAS X SMK NEGERI 5 TANJUNG BALAI TAHUN AJARAN 2023/2024

Abstract


This study aims to determine the ability to write exposition texts of class X TBSM1 and X TBSM2 of SMK Negeri 5 Tanjung Balai, Datuk Bandar District, Tanjung Balai City. This type of research uses a quantitative experimental research method with a final test research design. The population in this study were all students of class X consisting of 4 classes. The research sample was 2 classes (class X TBSM1 and class X TBSM2) which were taken by random sampling class. In class TBSM2 as an experimental class using the Mind Mapping model through audio visual media totaling 36 and in class TBSM1 as a control class with a conventional learning model totaling 35. Data collection techniques with written tests and documentation. Based on the results of the experimental class's exposition text writing ability scores, the average score was 82.2 and the control class's exposition text writing ability scores were 63.94. The significant value obtained was greater than the table, which was 9.41> 2.38. This proves that there is an influence of the Mind Mapping learning model on the ability to write exposition texts through audio-visual media in class X TBSM students of SMK Negeri 5 Tanjung Balai in the 2023/2024 Academic Year. So Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.
