Analisis Ketimpangan Sosial Pada Film Miracle In Cell No.7 Karya Hanung Bramantyo Dalam Kajian Semiotika Rolland Barthers

Abstract


This study aims to determine the form of social inequality in the Miracle in Cell No. 7 film using Rolland Barthers' semiotic study. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The methods used are documentation study and literature study. Documentation study is conducted by collecting data in the form of the Miracle in Cell No. 7 film downloaded through one of the websites on the internet while Literature Study is conducted by searching, collecting, and studying data through literature, books and other relevant and supporting reading sources. The results of the study concluded that in the Miracle in cell no 7 film there are 13 scenes that contain elements of social inequality. Of the 13 scenes, they are then classified into 3 forms of social inequality that cause discrimination in the community. Namely marginalization of the lower class, social inequality and discrimination of the upper class against the lower class, and threats and violence in the legal process. Marginalization of the lower class has 3 scenes, then social inequality and discrimination of the upper class against the lower class has 5 scenes and for threats and violence in the legal process there are 3 scenes. Several scenes show forms of social inequality caused by differences in social status, but the forms of social inequality that occur are dominated by the limitations of one of the characters so that this social inequality occurs
