PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH BERBANTUAN APLIKASI GEOGEBRA SISWA

Abstract


This research aims to determine whether there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning learning model on problem solving abilities assisted by the GeoGebra application at UPTD of SMP N 2 Silau Laut in flat-sided geometric material, especially cubes and blocks. This type of research is quantitative research. The data collection technique used in this research is a quasi experiment, namely Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The samples taken are VIIIth-2 Class as an experimental class using the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by the GeoGebra application and VIIIth-1 Class as a control class using a direct learning model where each class consisted of 30 people using the purposive sampling method. The research instrument taken was a posttest of problem solving abilities. After the learning was completed, a posttest was obtained with an average result of the experimental class 87,600 and an average of 78,400 of the control one. The t-test results obtained . Thus, is rejected and is accepted, and it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning learning model on the problem solving abilities assisted by the GeoGebra application of students at UPTD of SMP N 2 Silau Laut.

Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan quasy experiment yaitu Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel yang diambil adalah kelas VIII-2 sebagai kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantuan aplikasi GeoGebra dan kelas VIII-1 sebagai kelas kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung dimana setiap kelas berjumlah 30 orang dengan memakai metode purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang diambil adalah posttest kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Setelah pembelajaran selesai diberikan, diperoleh posttest dengan hasil rata-rata kelas eksperimen dan rata-rata kelas kontrol . Hasil uji-t diperoleh . Maka ditolak dan diterima, dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah berbantuan aplikasi GeoGebra siswa di UPTD SMP N 2 Silau Laut.  Kata kunci: Problem Based Learning, Aplikasi Geogebra, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah
