Analisis Kemampuan Literasi dan Numerasi Siswa Di Tinjau Dari Pola Pikir Matematis Di UPTD SM N 1 Aek Kuasan T. A 2023/2024

Abstract


Students' literacy and numeracy abilities are one of the abilities that really need to be improved in order to be able to withstand the challenges of education in the 21st century. Mindset is one of the things that influences students' literacy and numeracy abilities. The aim of this research is to describe the literacy and numeracy abilities of students' mathematical thinking patterns in working on problems with comparative material. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive method which was carried out at UPTD SMP N 1 Aek Kuasan in 2023/2024 Academic Year. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The subjects in this research are 25 VIIth -1 class students with different thought patterns. Data collection using, observation, tests, interviews and documentation. They analyzed including reducing data, presenting them, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the literacy and numeracy abilities of students at UPTD SMP N 1 Aek Kuasan are categorized into 3 categories, namely high, medium, low, where the high category is 32%, and the medium is 36% and the low one is 32% and then doing such an interview sample of 3 students, to strengthen the research results.
