Abstract


Abstract

 

Pregnancy-related back pain is characterized by discomfort in the lumbosacral region. The level of back discomfort usually increases with increasing gestational age due to shifts in the center of gravity and body posture. Pregnancy-related back discomfort usually occurs due to elongated bones. Inadequate treatment of back pain during pregnancy can significantly reduce the quality of life of pregnant women. The results of previous studies showed that all respondents who were pregnant women reported a decrease in the severity of back pain after doing yoga. No pregnant women experienced an increase in the intensity of back pain after doing yoga. In addition, no pregnant women experienced back pain at the same level before and after doing yoga. Thus, it can be concluded that Pregnancy Yoga is effective in relieving back pain in pregnant women in the third trimester. Therefore, it is important that the results of previous studies are disseminated in the form of information and socialization for pregnant women.
